Gloria Nakamya

Gloria Nakamya holds a master’s degree in management of Development with a speciality of Social Inclusion Gender and Youth from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands, and a bachelor’s degree in information technology from Mbarara University of Sciences and Technology, Uganda. Gloria has 9 years of experience in administrative work, social development, activism, research design and is passionate about gender equality youth and women empowerment.
She has provided ICT and financial literacy advisory services to several SMEs, taken up senior administrative roles (2014 – 2019), including project writing, planning and implementation at Ahuriire Uganda Limited (2021- 2023). Gloria has worked as a students’ representative on the Academic Program Committee in the Netherlands to promote course and program analysis to align with challenges and solutions in the contexts of developing countries (2019 -2020).
She has facilitated a steppingstones curriculum meant for the reduction of gender-based violence, HIV/AIDS infections and teenage pregnancies and marriages in several schools in the western region of Uganda (2022).
Gloria has experience conducting gender-specific qualitative research in a variety of fields, including financial inclusion, sexual and reproductive health, HIV AIDS, youth and women’s economic empowerment, and gender-based violence. She has also taken part in national and international conferences.
